Asante Kotoko’s head coach Prosper Narteh has resigned from his post, Reported by GhanaSoccerdotnet.
The 2021/2022 GPL winning coach tendered in his resignation on wednesday afternoon after a meeting with the technical committee of the Board and Management of the famous club.
In a sensation turn of events, Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Nartey Ogum has quit the job, barely three weeks for the start of the club's pre-season activities kicks in.
Oyerepa FM's “Eugene Adu Poku” is reporting that the Ghana Premier League winner has left his post at the club after having a meeting with the top brass of the Ghanaian giants.
Details are sketchy and Intense but sources say the gaffer is unhappy with the club's transfer activity ahead of the next season and more crucially their involvement in the CAF Champions League.
The club has lost 3 key players- Mudasiru Salifu, Brazilian Fabio Gama and Kwame Baah have all left the record Ghana Premier League holders.
It is reported that the tension between the coach and the management team appears to have reach the climax - leading to the decision of the University professor to part ways with the well known African powerhouse.
Professor Nartey guided Kotoko to their 24th Premier league title last season.
The club is expected to start preparations for the upcoming season by participating in the Ghalca off-season competition on- the G6 in Kumasi next month.
