Granit Xhaka, a midfielder for Arsenal, has retaliated against commentator Gary Neville for labeling him a disgrace.
You need individuals to have the balls to come here and play, Granit Xhaka stated in May. (Picture)
Following Arsenal's loss to Newcastle in the season's final match, which saw the Gunners lose their lead in the battle for the top four spots in the Premier League, Neville was enraged with Xhaka.
Mikel Arteta's fifth-place team ultimately failed to qualify for the Champions League for the 2022–23 season, with Tottenham of north London taking fourth.
Xhaka appeared to poke fun at Arsenal's youthful players when he said, "If someone isn't ready for this game, stay at home," following the team's defeat.
It is irrelevant how old you are. Stay at home or on the bench if you're feeling uneasy. To play here, you need folks with the guts to do so.
'I don't know who he's having a go at, I hope he wasn't having a go at the younger guys,' Neville added in his post-game analysis.
"I tell you what, during the past four or five years, he has occasionally been a disgrace, getting executed irresponsibly." That was nothing there, and he left it up in the air.

However, Xhaka has now reacted to them and believes he was misinterpreted.
The 29-year-old Swiss international claimed in a brand-new interview with ESPN that while everyone is aware of how young their team is, the issue at hand is not one of youth or experience.
'This wasn't done to our young players,' you say. I joined them there as well. We weren't prepared for this game or the battle.

We were aware that if we prevailed in this match, we would face Everton in another championship game at home [on the last day of the Premier League season].
"The issue is with the mentality; when you have something, you can take it; it is not the first time we have betrayed it," said the speaker.
Many people begin to say things like, "Yeah, he's speaking again," and other things of the such, but perhaps they didn't fully comprehend what and how I meant.
If I may add something to this interview, I will say that it has nothing to do with the young players and everything to do with all of us.
"The age is irrelevant. It doesn't matter your age; you need to be prepared for these games because you might only get to play in one per season. I believe I said that after the game as well.
If not, you are no longer eligible for the Champions League.
