i nearly cóllapsed when I heard that two of my roommate have been dæd for ages ago.
I was shócked! I've been living with them for almost 3years, which means I've been living with a ghost for all this while!
the worst part was that I've knew john and chike even before we became roommate.
the first time I met John was at Trinity hall, when we were taking jamb examinations, he was sitting beside me.
during the examinations, he helped me solved some of the hard questions in the paper, that's when I knew he was an intelligent guy.
before we left to our separate ways, we exchanged contacts, because I like being friends with intelligent people.
we chats in WhatsApp but it's only once in a while, I didn't even know that I will get to meet him again because he stays far away from the place I lives.
one day, I was coming back from work when I saw him around my area walking along with someone., I rushed and stopped him..
“how far john, it have been a while ooh”.. I said to him.
“aaah Makuo, is that you? how you're doing?”.. he asked.
“i'm fine ooh, hope you're good too?”... I retorted.
“i'm good ooh, bro”.. he said.
“this is my friend ooh, his name is chike”.. he told me and I greeted with his friend.
we even planned to meet on Sunday, we had fun and took some pictures.
3months later, my jamb result came out, gratefully, I made it.
I later got admission in unizik University, I was so happy because it was my dream school.
the day I came for registration in unizik, coincidentally, I met with John and his friend Chike, they also came for registration.
I was so glad hearing they got admission at the same school with me.
we started being more close starting from that day.
we rented a room and palour nearby the school since the school lodge was very expensive.
that was when we started living together in the same roof., I love being with them because they're so funny to be with.
we've been living there for 2years now.
one day my mom called me on phone..
“makuo, hope you're good?”.. she asked.
“yes ooh, I'm good, how is family?”.. I retorted..
“we are good ooh, Makuo I've been so worried about you, hope you are okay”... she asked again.
“why are you worried, mom? I'm okay”.. I said.
“it's just that I've been seeing you in my dream with some weird guys, I've been so worried”... she said.
“don't worry, mom. I'm okay”.. I said and concluded..
days and weeks passed..
one day, I was walking along with John, we were going to our morning lecture when a stranger bumped into us.
“ooh, I'm so sorry”.. she said.
“wait ooh, aren't you john!!! wait! I know you! you've been dæd for about 7years ago in a car a c c ! d e n t!!”... she shouted.
I thought she was joking, I started laughing, I turned to john to ask if he heard what the girl said.
to my surprise, john have already disappeared!
“jesus Christ!!” I shouted as I fall on the ground.
that's when I remembered what my mom said., I rushed to the girl and showed her one of the pictures I snap with John and chike, and asked her if she know Chike.
“jesus!! this is Chike, he is John's younger brother, they d ! ? d together in the same day!”.. she shouted.
i then rushed back to our house to check if Chike is still there., when I reach there, I saw him pressing his phone..
I walked to him and asked...
“chike, you've been dæd right?”...I asked..
he looked at me with this weird face while coming closer to me.
