Acclaimed Iran maker mentioned to serve six years in jail
Award winning Iranian film maker Jafar Panahi, who was kept in Tehran last week, has been mentioned to serve six years in jail, Iran's lawful leader says.
Iranian media said Mr Panahi was held following going to Evin prison to get some data around one of two individual bosses caught for supporting battles.
His significant other told BBC Persian he was instructed by watches that he had an unprecedented prison sentence to serve.
Tahereh Saeedi said his confinement amounted to a seizing.
"Jafar has a couple of freedoms as an occupant. There's fair treatment. To keep someone, they ought to be called first. Regardless, to keep someone who is battling outside the jail raises a lot of issues. This is a catching," she said.
Mohammad Rasoulof and Mostafa Al-e Ahmad were caught over online diversion posts concerning the breakdown of a 10-story working in the city of Abadan in May that killed more than 40 people
The two makers were faulted for "influencing unsettling and disturbing the psychological security of society", state news association Irna itemized.
