Francis Addae-Nimo, a former member of parliament for Mampong in the Ashanti Region, has urged the Ghana Police Service to take a more aggressive approach and support the court in uncovering the facts behind the death of JB Danquah Adu, an Abuakwa North MP.

He felt that six years was a considerable amount of time and that the trial ought to have concluded by this point for justice to be served.

Mr. Addae Nimo urged for the law court to expedite its procedures to bring closure to the issue while speaking on Tuesday, July 19's Anopa Bofo Morning Show on Angel FM. He termed JB Danquah Adu's death as a terrible incident.

It's been six years...

We ought to have finished by now. I believe that at this point, every detail of the case should have been known so that we could understand its implications. It has been stored for a while, which shouldn't be... Mr. Francis Addae Nimo said to the show's presenter, Kofi Adoma Nwanwani, "The prosecutors [Ghana Police Service] handling the case should be aggressive with their investigations."

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for flag-bearer said, "about the delays in the court proceedings, I believe they know what can be done to fast track the process and discover the truth since it is someone's life that has been taken..."

He recalled JB Danquah, a former colleague in the legislature, as a vibrant individual who would not be easily forgotten.

He recalled the former member of parliament for the Abuakwa North Constituency as being extremely informed and respectful to everyone.

JB was a really vivacious individual.

He respected everyone and was amusing. The Honorable Joseph Boakye Danquah will always be remembered.

At 2016, the late JB Danquah Adu, an MP for the Abuakwa North Constituency, was murdered in his Shiashie home.

On Monday, audiovisual recordings of the first accused, Daniel Asiedu, "reconstructing" the scene of the suspected murder to the police were entered as evidence. Asiedu is accused of killing the deceased MP.
