Jose Mourinho's 2022/23 Strongest Line Up To Challenge For The Serie A Title Next Season

AS Roma, which won the UEFA Conference League title with Jose Mourinho last season, is now rebuilding their roster in order to compete for the Serie A crown next season. Multiple reports online by sports writers claim that the Serie A giants have finalized the signing of three world-class players in the ongoing deal. As a result, I decided to write this essay to show how they might line up next season to compete for the Serie A title.A. Goalkeeper - Rui Patricio will remain in the starting XI for PSG next season, as the club has no intention of buying a new goalkeeper this summer. Patricio has been in excellent form since joining AS Roma from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

B. Defenders - Smalling, a former Manchester United player, will pair up with Mancini and Roger in the squad's defensive positions next season.

C. Nemanja Matic, Cristante, Spinazzola, and Celik are the midfielders.

D. Attackers - Following Dybala's free transfer to the club earlier this week, Pellegrini, Paulo Dybala, and Tammy Abraham would lead the team's attacking frontline for Jose Mourinho next season. More information can be found in the photo below.

REPORT: £147K-A-WEEK EVERTON AND WEST HAM TARGET WANTS TO PLAY FOR MOURINHO

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Gini Wijnaldum wants to join Roma because he has a "desire" to play under Jose Mourinho, despite rumours that Everton, West Ham, and Wolves are interested in enticing the PSG midfielder back to England. Wijnaldum, 31, joins PSG on a free transfer in 2021 after winning the Premier League and Champions League with Liverpool. However, he failed with PSG, scoring just three goals in 38 appearances. He only appeared in 22 of those games.

An immediate move is planned. According to CDS, Wijnaldum wishes to join Roma in order to play under Mourinho's supervision. That is, despite claims that Everton, West Ham, and Wolves are all interested in signing the Dutchman this summer. However, given his £147k-a-week after-tax salary, PSG may have to enable a move, according to the report. Wijnaldum's contract at PSG runs through the summer of 2024. A summer transfer is possible, although it appears that Roma is his favored destination. A move to Roma to play for Mourinho's Europa League club and reside in Italy is undoubtedly appealing. Roma are about to sign Paulo Dybala, which will be appealing to the midfielder.

He'll want regular game time ahead of the World Cup, which he'll receive at Roma. Given his Liverpool affinity, a move to Everton is almost certainly out of the question. The opportunity to live in Londo may entice Wijnaldum to join West Ham.The Hammers are in Europe and require extra midfield depth with the loss of Mark Noble. Wijnaldum will undoubtedly be interested in a move to West Ham, but Roma are clearly the most appealing and well-positioned club to sign him.
