Meet Sharon Sampson: the beautiful 19 year old Swedish born Representing for the Black Princesses
Ghanaians have been taken aback by the beauty of Ghana Black Princesses’s player Sharon Sampson. The 19 year old’s striking beauty, well built physique and athleticism has made her the talk of town.
But who actually is Sharon Sampson?
Sharon Sampson is born to both Ghanaian parents. She was born and raised in Tamale, the capital city of the Northern Region of Ghana. So in essence, this makes her a ‘Tamale born’ contrary to reports she was born in the Volta Region.
The family stayed in Ghana for a while before relocating to Sweden. Presently she plays for the oakland university golden grizzlies in America.
This is not the first time she’s had a call up to the Black Princesses. In 2020 she was called up to participate in a friendly match against Morocco.
But the feeling is different this time as it’s a call up to the U20 Women’s World Cup scheduled to take place in Costa Rica. The event kicks off next month.
Speaking to the GFA Communications this is what she said:
This is my second time coming to Ghana representing my nation. But this time is so much more different. Every training is so much more tougher than the previous, uh, the players i’m playing with are putting in 150 percent work effort and I really love it.
We are really trained as a team who are willing to do whatever it takes to take home to the world cup 2022
