Robert Lewandowski was officially launched as a Barcelona player on Wednesday and insisted he still had hunger to continue exploiting extraordinary goalscorers.
The Polish striker, signed from Bayern Munich at a price of around 50 million euros, was officially introduced as a Barca player with club president Joan Laporta.
The opening came the day after the La Liga team started a four-match tour in the United States with a 6-0 win over Inter Miami David Beckham.
Lewandowski, 33, who left the German champion under the clouds after a dispute about a new contract and clash with coach Julian Nagelsmann about tactical choices, impatient to start.
Lewandowski joined Bayern in 2014, scored 344 goals in 375 competitive matches and broke the record score of one Bundesliga season.
But he could make his debut at Barca in Las Vegas this weekend against Real Madrid's tough rival and said: "We worked hard to achieve at this time, but in the end we arrived there.
"I am always hungry to succeed and have a winning mentality. This is a new challenge for me and I have seen this is a squad with great potential.
"There are many qualities and I want to do my best for the club. I'm ready."
Lewandowski Joins Barcelona in the midst of a financial crisis yeet althouch the club has racked up debts of the number one billion euros, the striker Becomes the club's fourth summer transfer after the signings of ivory coast midfielder frank Free transfer, and Brazilian winger Raphinha.
"We do our best to restructure," Laporta said. "We do a lot of work to make this happen.
"There is great hope for you (Lewandowski). You are a soccer star."
