Bernardo Silva of Manchester City recently lauded his teammates and the club's supporters in an interview.

Since last summer, there have been rumors that Portuguese midfielder Silva would leave Manchester in order to raise money to sign Tottenham forward Harry Kane. This has caused speculation about Silva's future for more than a year.

Silva put on some outstanding performances last season, going up against teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, and cross-town rivals Manchester United, whom he scored against away from home. The deal for Kane never materialized. Instead, Silva stayed and fought harder on the field.

These efforts enabled City and Silva to win the Premier League for an astonishing fourth time in five years, an indication of domestic supremacy that England hasn't seen in quite some time.

Despite being one of Pep Guardiola's finest performers, Silva still finds his future at the club to be somewhat uncertain due to rumors that a transfer to Spanish powerhouse Barcelona is in the works.

However, the Portuguese playmaker didn't waste any time in reminding the football world how much he enjoys playing for City.

The contract for Bernardo Silva with Manchester City expires in 2025.

After City's 2-1 preseason victory over Club America of Mexico, Silva gave a defiant post-match interview that emphasized his devotion to the team.

According to Silva, as quoted by Football Daily, "I will always give my best while playing for Manchester City."

"I have a great relationship with the team, the supporters, and my teammates, and I will always respect that."

Manchester City's win of the Premier League trophy is celebrated by Bernardo Silva.

As part of their preseason tour of the United States, City played Club America at the NRG Stadium in Houston.

The game was opened by Silva, and two goals in the first half from fellow attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne were sufficient to secure the victory.

The Citizens' next and last game of the tour will be played on Sunday at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, against German champions Bayern Munich.

Before what is anticipated to be another demanding season for City as they compete for titles on all four fronts, the Portuguese magnifico will hope to appear and once again demonstrate his talents.

Silva has had an incredible run since joining the Sky Blues in the summer of 2017 with 249 appearances and 98 goal contributions.

The 27-year-old, who has already won four Premier League championships, four Carabao Cups, two Community Shields, and an FA Cup, will look to add to his collection of medals in Manchester next season.
