EX HASAACAS LADIES STAR EVELYN BADU HAS BEEN CROWNED THE CAF INTER CLUB PLAYER OF THE YEAR.

Black Princesses captain Evelyn Badu has been crowned the (CAF) Confederation of African Football inter-club best female footballer at the 2022 CAF awards in Morocco on Thursday night. 

Evelyn beats off competition from Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Andile Dlamini and South African defender Bambanani Mbanie.

 

Evelyn is winning the award following her scintillating display in the first edition of CAF Women's Champions League. She also “starred” in Hasaacas Ladies sensational sweep of domestic titles, as well as winning the WAFU ‘Zone B’ championship.

 

Evelyn Badu is currently with the Black Princesses team in Ghana preparing for the FIFA 2022 Women's U20 World Cup in Costa Rica next month.

The 19-year-old played a very pivotal role as Hasaacas Ladies won all domestic titles before going on to conquer West Africa at the WAFU tournament.

 

 

She was the goal queen as Hasaacas Ladies reached the finals of the first edition CAF Women's Champions League in Egypt last year.

The former Ghana champions lost to Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in the final of the competition. Her outstanding display saw her earn a move to Norway to join Avaldsnes IF.

 

 

She beat off competition from former teammate Doris Boaduwaa, and Morocco’s Yasmine Zouhir who plays for AS St Etienne to the award.

Evelyn Badu was named the best player in the first edition of the  CAF Women's Champions League held in Egypt last year.

The youngster  scored 5 goals to win the golden boot and to be crowned the queen of the competition, After leading the Ghanaian side Hasaacas to the final of the maiden edition of the CAF Women's Champions League.

 

She beat off competition from former teammate Doris Boaduwaa, and Morocco’s Yasmine Zouhir who plays for AS St Etienne to the award.
