According to Ben Jacobs, Cristiano Ronaldo is willing to take a 30% pay cut to leave Manchester United during the summer transfer window. That's what his agent, Jorge Mendes, is telling the elite clubs who might be interested in signing him.
Cristiano is said to be very interested in returning to Spain to join Atletico Madrid, but the club is refusing to make the move. The Portuguese is a divisive figure in Madrid's red-and-white quarter.
Atletico are currently not in a financial position to make the move, and it is widely assumed that a return to Real Madrid is out of the question. Barcelona was even offered the opportunity to sign the 37-year-old, but instead chose to sign Robert Lewandowski.
Cristiano is no longer the player who terrorized opposing clubs, but he is still a productive goalscorer. Last season, despite playing for a bad team, he scored 18 Premier League goals for Manchester United.
