ATO FORSON'S LEGAL COUNSELOR TELLS AGYEMAN-MANU THAT FINANCE MINISTER APPROVED MARKING OF LETTER MEN

Counsel for Dr Casiel Ato Forson, Dr Abdul Basit Aziz Bamba, has told Health Minister Kweku Agyeman-Manu at a Financial and Economic Court in Accra that Dr Forson didn't act in an individual limit when he marked a letter for the benefit of his chief, the Finance Minster mentioning the foundation of Letters of Credit (LC) for Big Sea Limited for the acquisition of certain ambulances.

Mr Agyeman Manu showed up in court for the second time as an indictment observer for a situation of persistently making Financial misfortune the state brought against Dr Forson and two others by the state.

During questioning after Mr Agyeman Manu had been driven in his proof in boss by Attorney General, Godfred Dame,Dr Bamba asked from The observer in the event that he knew that the, Finance Minster had unveiled during examinations concerning the matter that he approved his then Deputy,Dr Forson, to sign a letter dated seventh August,2014 mentioning the Bank of Ghana through the Controller and Accountant General to lay out letters of credit for the Dubai based outfit.

Dr Forson has been accused of making monetary misfortune the state without due cause and approval by the Akufo-Addo government.

Upon additional cross-examination,Mr Agyeman Manu conceded that it was actually to be expected for Deputy Minsters and Chief Directors to sign letters on the power of their Minsters.

That's what he added assuming Ministers found that letters had been endorsed for their sake without response to them,they made a move which included questioning the deviant authorities or giving mandates that all such future correspondence ought to be done solely after their express directions.

When asked by Dr Bamba assuming he knew that the Finance Minster at the time had let examiners know that he requested that Dr Forson sign the said letter,Mr Agyemang Manu said he knew nothing about this.

Mr Agyeman Manu additionally conceded under questioning that letters of credit didn't comprise installment in themselves yet offered assurance of installment assuming determined conditions were met.
