This coming Saturday, Aston Villa will play Manchester United in their third and final preseason matchup in Australia. From their base in Brisbane, where they defeated both Leeds United and Brisbane Roar, Villa have headed to Perth.
At the Optus Stadium, something has to give. While Villa have a spotless record thus far, so do United under new manager Erik ten Haag. They recently put three more goals past Crystal Palace while defeating Melbourne Victory and Liverpool.
The Lions and the Red Devils will square off against one another at the weekend, and fans at home will be able to watch the game live. The teams will then return to the UK and begin their final Premier League season preparations there.
the match
Kickoff at Perth's Optus Stadium, where teams compete in various codes of Aussie Rules, football, and rugby, is at 17:45 local time, which translates to 10:45 in the UK. As a result, you can still enjoy a relaxing Saturday lie-in.
How to proceed
You can watch the game live in Australia on Villa TV, which will provide coverage with a Lions flavor.
The alternate United output is provided by MUTV, whose broadcast starts at 9:45am. You may register for it here, though Australian United supporters will be unable to do so due to domestic broadcasting rights.
