The drama is over and the decision is in: Kyler Murray and Arizona Cardinals have made a long -term commitment to each other with a new contract that will make Quarterback in the desert during the 2028 season.

The choice of pro bowl is twice taken with the overall choice of No. 1 of Oklahoma after he won Heisman Trophy and most of them have sent in his efforts to make cardinals a better franchise.

The team announced a new contract on Thursday. ESPN reported that the contract could be worth $ 230.5 million, with $ 160 million guaranteed.

Agent Murray, Erik Burkhardt, did not immediately return the message asking for comments.

Murray's new contract placed him equivalent to other young star quarterbacks throughout the league such as Josh Allen from Buffalo, who signed an agreement worth more than $ 250 million last season. Murray will produce an average of more than $ 46 million per season, which is similar to other elite quarterbacks such as Green Bay Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Allen from Kansas City.

Registered only 5-Kaki-10, some around NFL are worried that 24-year-old Murray is too short to become a dominant quarterback pro, but his statistics through three seasons prove the opposite.

He completed almost 67% of his operations through 46 career matches for 11,480 yards and 70 goals while rushing for 1,786 yard and 20 TDS. Murray is very good at extending the game with her feet, using her capabilities scramble for spectacular profits.

Arizona has a record of 5-10-1 during her rookie season in 2019 but Cardinals increased to 11-6 last season before losing to Los Angeles Rams in the NFC wild card round during the playoffs.

The agreement ended a strange and aggressive queue of offseason contract. At one point, Murray wiped her social media accounts from all references to Cardinals and it was unclear whether the franchise was ready to make long -term investments.

Both parties seem to be on the road to reconciliation for the past few months. GM Steve Keim said that there was a "zero chance" Murray would be traded and Quarterback was placed on social media that he wanted to win Super Bowl with Cardals and call Arizona "home."

The Cardinals have taken the fifth year Murray's option for the 2023 season, further facilitating tension, but the news on Thursday ended the remaining questions.

Now Murray can take the field for the training camp next week knowing the future of his football is safe. The Cardinals faced many challenges in 2022, including navigating the first six matches without the recipient of Bintang Deandre Hopkins, who was suspended for violating NFL performance drug policy.

Murray and the fourth year coach of Kliff Kingsbury were under significant pressure to produce this fall after the end of last year's season. The Cardinals looked like one of NFL's best teams in 2021 after starting with a record 10-2, but lost four of their last five regular season matches before being defeated 34-11 by Rams at the Wild Card round.
