As of late, I joined two famous Resource Persons for a studio at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC) to examine the subject "Protected Manipulation of Term Limits By Incumbent Governments In West Africa And Its Implications For Human Security."

The top notch members of around fifty were drawn from administrative foundations, CSOs and the confidential area.

After my show, a member asked me, "General, what has Ghana acquired from upsets beginning around 1966-1979/1981?" This question promptly helped me to remember my running-fight with Nana.

Nana

With his long relationship with military officials, Nana has been unrelenting in his interest that, I write to teach Ghanaians out of the "provincial story" of the military being an unenlightened organization committed to threatening regular people, a view sadly, built up by the activities of a couple of fighters, and the historical backdrop of barbarities during rebellions/transformations.

He thinks an instructive drive drove by the Directorate of Public Relations (DPR) is vital as most regular folks have hardly any insight into the military.

Thus, when suddenly, my "dad" likewise recommended I expound on the benefits/hindrances of military rule in Ghana, I mentioned him to give me a few advantages from 1966-1979/1981. Once more, I inquired as to whether viciously ousting a fairly chosen government in an overthrow could be legitimate/cleaned by any benefits.

Yielding that brutality is off-base, his counter-assault was, what about when presidents propagate themselves by changing the Constitution into a "majority rule fascism?"

Prof Samuel Huntington

The eminent Harvard teacher Samuel Huntington, in his book "The Soldier and the State", expresses that, "The cutting edge official corps is an expert body, and the advanced official an expert man."

He makes sense of that involving the three models in figuring out what a calling is, viz mastery, obligation and corporate-ness, the tactical meets all. First and foremost, the military has mastery in overseeing viciousness. Also, as far as friendly obligation, monetary compensation isn't the essential point of the military. Thirdly, the military has norms for affirmation/skills expected to be shown.

A differentiation is made between focused "officials," and unrestrained "novices" in uniform who take part in savagery, including overthrows!
