"Daddy!!" Jerome screamed running inside his room.
"Daddy?" He lowered his voice,obviously disappointed.
He dropped his school bag and made his way to the kitchen, he stopped half way when he heard creaking sound coming from His mother, Alicia's room.
He opened the door quietly and entered the room.
''Mummy, I'm just coming back from school and I couldn't find da....."
"Why are you in my room? And why didn't you knock before barging in?" She cut him short.
"I am sorry mum....."
"Stop calling me that! You demon!" Alicia yelled at him.
"Do you hate me that much?" Jerome asked soberly.
"Take a good look at me, Logan! I hate you! I hate seeing your face! I hate calling your name! You little demon!" She spatted.
"Mum?"
Alicia knock him hard on his head immediately.
"Don't you ever call me that! I am not your mum! So get out of my room, now!" She barked and the young kid ran out of his mother's room immediately.
"Pest! " Alicia groaned and brought out a stick of cigarette.

"Jerome, Daddy is home" Jeremy sang quietly and entered his son's room.
"Jerome?" He furrowed his brow when he entered and saw him crying.
"Daddy" He cried harder as he hugged his father.
"What's wrong, son? Are you mad at me because I didn't come to pick you today? Okay, I'm sorry. My schedule was so tight that's why I called your teacher to let you follow the school bus home. I am so sorry my baby" Jeremy explained disengaging the hug.
"Daddy, Is she truly my mummy?"
"Who?"
"That woman, Alicia. Is she truly my mummy ?" Jerome asked slowly.
"What warrant your question?"
"Daddy, She really hates me so much. She really do. Why? What have I done wrong?" Jerome asked.
"Look at me Jerome,No one hates you okay. You mum is just going through some trial moment, she loves you so much. Heaven know your mother love you. Come on my boy"
Jeremy word soothed him a little .
"Really dad? Mum loves me? Bu...bu...she said she hates me. You mean she love me so much. You me...."
"Jerome, don't let anyone's word pull you down. You are strong,You are awesome,you are amazing,you are Handsome and above all you are Jerome Logan Wayne. Trust me, mummy loves you. She really do" Jerome said and hugged him.
"I love you daddy" He smiled and hugged him back.
"So.... let's have your assignment done " He kissed his forehead.
*"I don't have an assignment daddy, Aunty didn't give us any" Jerome smiled. *
"Why?" Jeremy furrowed his brow.
"I don't know, She only gave us this to learn" Jerome said rushing towards his bag.
"She said we should study it before tomorrow "
"What is this? Is it another version of assignment?" Jeremy laughed and Jerome joined him in laughter.
Jeremy help him with his work which was spelling drill.
After 30 minutes;
"Now,let me ask you question on what we've been learning so far" Jeremy smiled
"Sure daddy, but you're gonna give me a gift if I get it all?" Jerome laughed
"Sure baby"
"Promise.. now ask"
"Good,Spell Mountain"
"Hmmm,M.O.U.N.T.A.I.N"
"Good Spell advance"
"A.D.V.A.N.C........E"
"Awesome boy. Now spell birthday"
"B.E.R.T.H.D.A.Y "
"Hahaha.... you missed that,No more gift for you" Jeremy laughed.
"No no no, let me try that again" Jerome jumped on his dad.
"Just one chance." Jeremy said.
"B....E....no no no...wait. B.I.R.T.H.D.A.Y"
"Superb" Jeremy smiled .
"Yayyyy!" Jerome jubilated.
"Chill man, we're not done yet" Jeremy said.
"Nah! We're done! You're getting me a gift lest I forget,I am hungry daddy" Jerome whispered and Jerome laughed .
"Can you even forget that?"
"Maybe I'll be the first to forget" Jerome laughed then hugged his dad.
"I love you son"
"That's not what I'm gonna eat now dad but I love you too anyway" Jerome laughed.

Jeremy entered Alicia's room in the midnight and was surprised to find her sleeping which was unlike her.
"Alicia" He tapped her gently.
"Wake up" He raised her head.
"Are you mad?" She said slowly.
"You even curse while sleeping? Come on, we need to talk"
"What!" She half yelled then sat up.
"Don't you ever touch me or sneak on me again. Okay?"
"Why are you making it clear to Jerome that you hate him? I mean it has been seven years and you still hate us. You can keep the hatred between us,Leave Jerome aside. He is not the cause of your problem. You know!" Jeremy half yelled.
"I'm not leaving him aside. If that demon hasn't popped in then, none of this would be happening. You might be married now,to a woman of your choice and have the best kids in the world."
"I might not have married the woman of my choice but Jerome is the best kid I would ever ask for. Alicia, Show love to that kid, He really need his mother" Jeremy said.
"Damn kid,damn you,damn mother! If you keep talking to me about stuffs like this! I won't have another choice than to opt for a divorce!" She half yelled.
"Good! Even if we're apart,You have no usefulness! Get lost. If you want a divorce,You will get it. I'm fed up with you anyway, You bi^ch!" Jeremy flared up .
"Jeremy!? It's me Alicia!" Alicia yelled.
"F*ck You! F*ck You girl!" Jeremy shouted and stormed out of the room angrily and he stumbled on something....no Someone.
"Daddy?" Jerome tiny voice cracked.
