Jopheny's pov
"you are kidding me, right?" I asked.
"no sir, you have insufficient funds" he replied.
"no, no it can't be" I mumbled shaking my head and Ariel burst into laughter.
"there is no way I will allow allow lady pay my bills amyways" she mocked.
"I will pay you back" I said.
"of course, you are going to and with an interest" she replied.
"okay, whatever" I muttered and she paid With her card.
"there is no way......" she stopped as I glared at her and then burst into laughter.
"I will be going home" I said and stood up.
"I think it would be better if you eat this" she said.
"and if I don't?" I asked.
"well you are gonna stay up all night due to hunger" she said and I sat back, she's right.
I grumpingly ate the Food without a word.
"let's go home" she said and we both left the restaurant.
I came across a beautiful sneakers and I smiled broadly.
"hey I need that sneakers" I said to Ariel excitedly.
"ugh? Well if you've got the money, buy it" she replied.
"please Billy goat" he pleaded and pouted his lips.
Fuck! He had better stop that, is he trying to seduce me? I swallowed and blinked nervously.
"stop!!!" I yelled and walked forward.
"Billy goat please" he pleaded and held my hand.
"let me be" I groaned.
"aren't we gonna take a cab?" he asked and I stared at him for a while.
"nope, we are trekking home. It's not far anyways" I replied.
"ugh? It's far, I can't do it, I am gonna get sick" he grumbled.
"then you learn" I said and pushed him forward.
After twenty minutes of trekking, he sat on the floor.
"I can't I can't walk any longer" he grumbled.
"I can't trek anymore, I am so tired" he added and sighed.
"C'mon, stand up lazy goat" I kicked his legs gently and he winced.
"I said I can't, just let me be" he laid on the floor. I looked around, there was no one on the road and we were almost home.
I jumped on Jopheby and dragged him up.
"let's go" I said.
"no, I am going nowhere" he replied and pulled me to himself.
My eyes widened noticing the proximity of our closeness, our faces were just inches apart and I could feel my heart beat rapidly and my stomach tightening in a knot.
I felt like my heart was gonna explode. I expected Jopheny to push me away but instead....instead....he... Did something else. Something I never expected or maybe I did.
He leaned closer to me and pressed me to himself. It was like time was frozen, my hands were frozen, my whole body couldn't move.
His gaze stayed on mine till they fell to my lips. His lips were just about to touch mine when my brain came back from it's quick flight and I pushed Jopheny away quickly.
I stood up hurriedly.
"what... What were you trying to do?" I asked, yelling.
"I... I... Don't know what came over me" he replied and stood up.
"I... I..." he sighed and walked forward while I tagged along.
Why did he try kissing me?
