Leeds United open talks to sign Celtic youngster?
Leeds United reportedly make contact with Celtic regarding the availability of young defender Leo Hjelde. Leeds United have reportedly identified Celtic youngster Leo Hjelde as a potential summer signing. The Yorkshire giants are expected to make a number of first-team additions over the coming weeks after their impressive first season back in the Premier League. However, Football Insider claims that Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta are also considering players for the future. The report states that Leeds are keen to take advantage of 17-year-old Hjelde having just 12 months remaining on his contract at Celtic Park. Despite his age, the Norwegian made 11 appearances on loan at Ross County last season, featuring in important wins over Dundee United and Hamilton Academical in May. Celtic will likely offer Hjelde a long-term deal in a bid to fend off interest from South of the border. ID:452333:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:collect2199:

Former Arsenal and Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil joins Istanbul Basaksehir from fellow Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce on a free transfer. Former Arsenal and Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil has joined Istanbul Basaksehir from fellow Super Lig club Fenerbahce on a free transfer. The 33-year-old leaves the Yellow Canaries after just 18 months with the club, who have confirmed that they have terminated his contract. A brief statement on Fenerbahce's official website read: "It has been agreed that the contract between our club and Mesut Ozil will be terminated by mutual agreement. "It presents to the public; We wish Mesut Ozil success for the rest of his career." Ozil did not feature for the Turkish top-flight side for the final three months of the 2021-22 campaign following a bust-up with interim boss Ismail Kartal. Jorge Jesus has since taken the reins at Fenerbahce but the 92-cap Germany international is not part of his plans, which has resulted in the termination of his contract. Istanbul Basaksehir has now confirmed the arrival Ozil on a free transfer via Twitter, and the playmaker has become the club's ninth signing of the summer window after Leo Duarte, Ahmed Touba, Mounir Chouiar, Patryk Szysz, Zaglebie Lubin, Lucas Biglia, Fatih Karagumruk and Alper Karaman. Ozil made 36 appearances for Fenerbahce across all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing three assists. ID:489961:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:collect3374:
