Call him the gate man, his home name is called kobo but his really name is Billy Osama. Its not that he wasn't educted, actually he is university graduate under Business management with a diploma in it. Kobo has tarmacked severally looking for jobs but all in pain.
He was the laughing stalk back at the village, the villagers used to make fun at him,someone who went till university but still sits at home with nothing to do. Our nation Kenya if you don't have connections you will really suffer with that degree or masters of yours. You can feel how rejection kobo felt in his own village. Even the girl he was courting dumped him because of his condition, despite this Kobo didn't give up in life, he taught on.
One fine morning Kobo's friend Mike came up to him:
Mike: Kobo have got good news for you but I don't know if you will like ooo
Kobo: Mike my friend just tell me I got tired with this life oo
Mike: ok Kobo let me spill the beans, I got a job for in the city and you should report by next week if interested.
Kobo: wow Mike you are a great friend of mine and if I get reach one day I won't forget you, anha which kind of job is that my friend
Mike: yes Kobo it's not a great job but they need a driver and I thought of you coz you know how to drive,it's not in a company but it's a personal driver
Kobo felt down he thought it was something great,he was engrossed deeply in thoughts that he could here mike walk out leaving abusiness card on the table. Kobo thought of himself and his poor family. The family is poor and they are really suffering, it's difficult for them some time to bring food on the table, his little sister could go to the bed empty stomach.
Kobo thought it careful, he discussed it with his parents and family wanted him to go but kobo saw that that job was so little for him as per his education,he had no otherwise than to go for it. He had no other business in the oyuga village,he was to go and stand up as aman, he had to support his family as an elder son of the house, his dad had grown old and ailing. Kobo watched his family for a minute then picked his phone tears rolling on his cheeks, dialled the number and called.
The phone rang twice and asweet voice of alady came through" hello who is this on the line please?" The voice was so cool, Kobo find it difficult to answer but his mum asked him to speak up. " ....hello oga it's me poo kobo, am the man want to apply the job of driving ma, my friend Mike told me about. " Oooh it's you kobo, have been waiting for you since and you had to report here next week but they are changes be here by tomorrow if you need the job," the lady ended the call leaving Kobo shouting," oga! Oga! Ma!"
All in all kobo had to prepare and leave for the next day to start his new job.....
