PAINS IN BEING AN ORPHAN

EPISODE 2

"Yeeeeeee!!! " my mum screamed as she held her cheeks.

I couldn't imagine seeing my mum being slapped by a woman who isn't even older than her. Even if she's, Why would she slap my mum?. I couldn't hold it, Tears started rolling down from my eyes. Even if life had to turned us down, should it supposed to be as harder as that?.

She left me and my mum standing and started going. I couldn't watch her doing this to my mum like that. My mum knew how much I love her. She knew I hàte to see tears on her face or to see her in any critical condition or situation. As I was looking at her going, My anger kept increasing. Which child would be Happy to see his or her mum being brùtally slapped?. A child who accepts that isn't a good child. Mum!.

I couldn't imagine seeing my mum who couldn't even buy food to eat in a local restaurant in this situation. Not even buying food from them but working for them. Washing plates and cleaning the tables after working tiredly. At the end of the day, She would be given just money that would quench our hunger. It was just as if I was watching nollywood movies on that day. But the premium tears on my face said it all.

As I took a step, My mum held me. As if she had known hat I would take a step.

"Mum! Leave me! " I said, As tears rolled down from my eyes.

"No, Don't go! " my mum said.

"I'm not going to her mum" I said.

My mum found it very hard to believe me. She knew what I could do. I wouldn't mind being beaten to dèath or jailed as far as it's about my mum.

"Leave my hand mum. I'm not going there" I said..

My mum believes me so much. She knew I don't tell her lies. Why would I even tell her lies? A person who takes me like her younger sister. We chat, discuss and converse just as if we were siblings.

"Anyway. I trust you" my mum left my hand..

As she left my hand, I left her side and went to that woman. In the first place, I wanted to go and beat and slap her more than ten times for treating my mum that way, But because my mum had begged me to not do that, I had to calm down. As I got to where the woman was. I talked to her calmly

"But things like this are not good. At least you should consider her age" I said, As I started shedding tears again.

I met her sitting down. As I finished talking, she double-crossed her legs and didn't say even a single word

"Is she even not older enough to be your elder sister? " I asked her..

This time, Her eyes became reddish and I could see her reaction. The word hit her. Yes that was my want.

"Are you done barking? " she asked.

"Who's barking?, Màd woman" I said

"Did you just _" she was stammering.

"Did you just what? I called you màd woman" I confirmed it.

"Your mama's work end here" she said.

"Ehn ehn. After that nkor? " I said mockingly.

Then she stood up and took an attempt to slap me. I held her hand and gave her double.

"That's for my mum" I said

She didn't calm down still. She turned it to a rough fight and I beat her mercilessly.

As I finished beating her, she took her phone from her bag and called police men to come and arrest me.

After few minutes, Policemen came and as they saw her face being punched bàdly. They didn't even ask me anything, They started dragging me into their car. They called me a Terròrist.

As my mum saw this, she started crying. She was trying to take me away from the police but they hijacked her hand.

"Please take me Instead" my mum begged.

The policemen put me in their car and started taking me away. My mum started running, chasing the policemen car. She unconsciously crossed the road without looking left and right. That was how my mum was crashed and hit by a car.

She lied on the road helplessly while blood filled her body.

I couldn't control my tears!.
