Jules Kounde's story has taken a new twist, as it appears he will opt for Barcelona over Chelsea.

Barcelona appeared to have given up on Kounde yesterday after failing to match Chelsea's bid.

Before the Blues' £55 million bid was accepted, personal terms had been agreed upon with the Frenchman's camp for about a year.

Sevilla were also said to be pressuring him to join Thomas Tuchel's team because they wanted him in the Premier League.

As a result of all of this, Spanish media outlets reported last night that Kounde's transfer to Chelsea was essentially completed and that Barcelona would not be involved.

However, reputable Spanish journalist Gerard Romero announced on Twitter this morning via Jijantes Fc that Sevilla and Barcelona had reached an agreement to sign Kounde.

Chelsea has confirmed on this day that one of their talented midfielders Faustino Anjorin has joined Championship side Huddersfield Town on loan for the second time, following the same developmental strategy used on Mason Mount, Reece James, Rube Loftus Cheek, and Trevoh Chalobah, who are now fully established first-team players.

The 20-year-old Englishman, a very good playmaker from the academy, first joined the Championship outfit in January 2022, where he made fewer games, 7 [all as a substitute], and for the second time, he has been assured of more minutes, thus a decision to develop with Danny Schofield's side for the upcoming season and impress Thomas Tuchel as well.

Jandro Orellana, a huge talent from the Barcelona academy, is said to have left the club on a free transfer to join lower-tier FC Andorra.

This comes after a failed contract renewal agreement with the club's management. The 21-year-old central midfielder is valued at €2.1m on the transfer market after leaving his childhood club.

Leeds United's new boy Luis Sinisterra has left a huge gap at Feyenoord, and it has been reported that his replacement has been signed today on a loan deal worth €2 million from Russian outfit Dynamo Moscow.

The 23-year-old Polish international is expected to fill the void left by the Dutchman, who moved to the English Premier League earlier in the transfer window.
