Abusuafo, I have been attending the mass days of my children for some time now with the parish priest Fr. Matthew Tuffuor Amoah, sometimes it's refreshing to visit those days and take a break from some of the stories he told us trying to raise good kids, other times I feel like I'm going back and falling down this bottomless spiral. But at the end of the day I make sure I picked up something from the old but golden stories the man told us., Even today I will tell you two stories of Fr. Tuffuor told us that I will ask you to spend some time with me when we go back in time.
The first one was that the woman was given a yam by God that when she hears the sound of the rapture trumpet will grab her because the yam is her ticket to heaven, when the trumpet sounded at the end of time the woman grabbed her yam and to her surprise she began to levitate. When the woman was about 100 meters to the heaven's gate, she decided to look down and see the distance between heaven and earth, but to her surprise, she found that there were a lot of people watching her, and when her neighbors saw her levitating, they jumped up and she caught hold of her feet, and her tuber yamu carried them up to heaven, when she saw the multitude of her neighbors all clinging to her, she became enraged, and determined to pull them off her feet, but lost. her grasp of the pit and she and all her community fell from heaven to earth again.
The second story is about a man who was supposed to meet God at 6:00 a.m. when he was on his way to God, at the meeting place he saw a six-month-old baby left by the road behind which a man was standing there. as he ponders whether or not to save the child, he concludes that he was called on his own, so he doesn't need to take the child with him, and besides, he shouldn't leave God waiting for him. When the man got to the meeting place, he heard God from heaven saying that he [God] was the helpless child by the side of the road whom the man refused to help.
Beloved, I'm not as good a story teller as the man who told stories, and besides, you've never asked me to tell you a story, but what I brought to market today from the farms of Bad Advice Inc. is summed up in these words: Saint Teresa of Avily “God has no other body now than yours. no hands, no feet on the ground, just yours. Yours are the eyes through which God looks with compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which God walks to do good. You are the hands through which God blesses the whole world. Your hands, your feet, your eyes, you are God's body. God has no flesh on earth now but yours." Sometimes, just sometimes, we are the only God some people will ever know, the Bible will be read by someone, so we should treat humanity with respect, compassion, love and grace. We have people have too much influence and impact than we can even imagine and our words and actions are the life that some people cling to, honestly we all have that one person who can never say "No" to our requests or advice even when they fail with them just like we have people whose words we can never ignore I sell the idea that God will never come down from heaven to visit those who need His grace because we are here for that 50 pesewa menua kup to oo because we are here as representatives of the invisible God and it is we who continue his saving and creative work by what we do.
May we always be blessed with a heart of service, because we are saved to serve, to make the world a better place for the less privileged, let us never forget to give the world our smile, for which comes inner suffering and pain, the world could use well about your smiles and besides : 'you're not dressed right if you're not wearing your smile (Sia).'
