Account Manager Ghana Cocoa Board, Mr Alexander Asante, exhorts the youth and Christians in general to remain focused and persevere in all endeavours.
Mr. Asante who spoke on the theme “Making a Change as a True Disciple of Jesus” as part of the 2022 Youth Month Celebrations in the Church of Christ, Dzorwulu pointed out that to achieve change one must remain determined and focused in order to achieve greater heights.
According to the Ghana Cocoa Board Account Manager, God will always set an open door for every person, but for us to fully benefit from this open door, it will depend on our readiness and relationship with Him.
In this regard, he urged the youth to always be available and ready to change all aspects of social life style so that others can emulate them.
He appealed to the youth to always be guided by their conscience to always do the right thing.
Mr. Asante stated that change can be positive or negative, hence the need for everyone to embrace the positive and wait patiently on the Lord knowing that everything good takes time to happen.
He enjoined Christians to continue to have faith and trust in the Lord and not to sit in their comfort zones but to go beyond them.
He called for the need to tell others what God has done for them and not always dwell on the negativity of life to encourage others.
According to Mr. Asante, he noticed that most of the time when people are blessed or prosperous beyond measure, they ended up raising their standard of living while ignoring raising their level of giving. For him, this is a very bad attitude that needs to be checked and stopped.
He advised the youth to practice biblical economy which has to do with giving more to receive more.
He urged leaders or Christians to value their followers as this will motivate them to excel and perform better.
He added that there is a need for regular assessments to know and address the needs of members.
In his closing speech, Mr. said that people must learn to develop and cultivate some 4Qs applicable to all life issues.
The first Q is the Intelligence Quotient (IQ), which refers to a person's reasoning ability at any given moment and helps to accommodate everyone and remain decisive in problems.
Another issue he said is emotional intelligence (otherwise known as emotional quotient or EQ), which is the ability to understand, use and manage one's emotions in positive ways to reduce stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and mitigate . conflict.
The social quotient, which is the third Q, allows an individual to form friendships and alliances. It helps a person against abuse.
The fourth Q, which is the adversity quotient, is a person's ability to face situations, problems and obstacles in life.
Experts say that a person with an unfavorable quotient will be able to effectively face obstacles and take advantage of opportunities.
According to him, combining these 4Qs will help build the capacity of Christian youth for greater exploitation.
