President Nana Akufo-Addo has said that he is glad that the entombment spot of the Late Professor John Evans Atta Mills who passed on the seat as President exactly a long time back, Asomdwoe Park, has been raised to a status befitting the last resting spot of a President of the Republic of Ghana.
Charging the recreated Asomdwoe Park on Sunday July 24, 2022, Mr Akufo-Addo showed that in the wake of becoming President, he became mindful of the "miserable province of Asomdwoe Park, and, in 2020, I got a solicitation from the late President's lively Communications Director, Koku Anyidoho, who pursues the Institute named the President, for the help of Government to restore the office."
He said he concurred, and, thusly, taught the Coastal Development Authority to embrace an intensive restoration of the Park, with the nearby co-activity of the Institute.
"It was not right that the Park had been permitted to break down significantly over the course of the years since his entombment in 2012, and I am glad that it was under the Presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo , supposedly his 'fiercest pundit' that Asomdwoe Park has been raised to a status befitting the last resting spot of a President of the Republic of Ghana.
"I would so with that objective exclusively in have cared, and not to take advantage of or exploit any purported divisions in the ideological group to which he had a place. Those supposed divisions are not of my making, and don't, in any capacity, acclimate to my advantage.
"There have additionally been awful allegations evened out by some against Government about the alleged contamination of the burial chamber of the late President during the time spent restoring the Park. Nothing could be further from reality, and it is great to take note of that these misleading, noxious assertions have been solidly dispersed and exposed by the Coastal Development Authority , thanks to its CEO, Mr. Jerry Ahmed Schaib, in a public proclamation under his hand.
