President Nana Akufo-Addo has said that he is glad that the internment spot of the Late Professor John Evans Atta Mills who kicked the bucket on the seat as President nearly a long time back, Asomdwoe Park, has been raised to a status befitting the last resting spot of a President of the Republic of Ghana.
Dispatching the reproduced Asomdwoe Park on Sunday July 24, 2022, Mr Akufo-Addo demonstrated that in the wake of becoming President, he became mindful of the "miserable province of Asomdwoe Park, and, in 2020, I got a solicitation from the late President's vivacious Communications Director, Koku Anyidoho, who pursues the Institute named the President, for the help of Government to restore the office."
He said he concurred, and, in this manner, trained the Coastal Development Authority to embrace a careful restoration of the Park, with the nearby co-activity of the Institute.
"It was not right that the Park had been permitted to decay significantly over the course of the years since his entombment in 2012, and I am glad that it was under the Presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo , supposedly his 'fiercest pundit' that Asomdwoe Park has been raised to a status befitting the last resting spot of a President of the Republic of Ghana.
"I would so with that objective exclusively in have cared, and not to take advantage of or exploit any alleged divisions in the ideological group to which he had a place. Those supposed divisions are not of my making, and don't, in any capacity, acclimate to my advantage.
"There have likewise been lamentable allegations evened out by some against Government about the alleged tainting of the burial place of the late President during the time spent restoring the Park. Nothing could be further from reality, and it is great to take note of that these bogus, malevolent assertions have been solidly scattered and exposed by the Coastal Development Authority , thanks to its CEO, Mr. Jerry Ahmed Schaib, in a public proclamation under his hand.
"My better half Rebecca and our youngsters go along with me and the Government in repeating our earnest sympathies to his significant other, Naadu, his child, his whole family, to the National Democratic Congress , and, to be sure, to individuals of Ghana for their extraordinary misfortune. The man from Ekumfi Otuam won't be neglected. In like manner, lovely people, it is my particular honor, officially, to commission the Asomdwoe Park.
"President John Evans Atta Mills, my old buddy Fiifi, rest and stay in ideal harmony in the chest of the Almighty, until we as a whole meet again on the last day of the Resurrection. May God keep on gift his spirit, and every one of us, and may God favor our country Ghana, and make her incredible and solid," he said.
