President Akufo-Addo has expressed that the late previous President of the Republic, whom he portrays as his contemporary, companion and as "the man from Ekumfi Otuom", won't be failed to remember by the public authority and individuals of Ghana, having kicked the bucket while serving in office as President of the country in 2012.
Tending to participants of the tenth commemoration remembrance thanksgiving administration of the late previous President John Evans Atta-Mills, as well as the disclosing of the gravestone and charging of Asomdwee Park where his human remaining parts are covered, President Akufo-Addo, said the late President merits each essential honor that the country might conceivably give to him.

On divisions in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) concerning the development of a befitting resting place for previous President Atta-Mills, President Akufo-Addo says he "did as such (the restoration of the Asomdwee park) with the sole target of respecting the memory of Atta-Mills and that's it.
"I would so with that objective exclusively in have cared and not to take advantage of or exploit any supposed division in the ideological group to which he had a place. Those supposed divisions are not of my making and in no manner acclimate to my advantage" President Akufo-Addo said.
Profaning charge
There has as per President Akufo-Addo, "been lamentable charges evened out against government about the alleged despoiling of the burial chamber of the late President during the time spent restoring the recreation area".
