Atletico Madrid has been linked with a move for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Atletico Madrid supporters have reacted angrily to reports that their club is interested in signing Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 37-year-old has yet to report for pre-season training under new manager Erik ten Hag, despite the fact that the Reds are only a few weeks away from kicking off their Premier League season. According to the Manchester Evening News, Ronaldo has decided to seek a move away from United due to the club's inactivity in the transfer market and a salary cut.
Atletico Madrid is one of the clubs linked with a move for Ronaldo. However, after a successful spell with Real Madrid, he is no stranger to fans of Los Blancos' rivals, having scored more goals against them than any other club, 25 times in 37 meetings.
And Atletico Madrid fans are not in the mood to forgive and forget. Supporters have taken to social media to express their displeasure with the reports. Wanda Metropolitano supporters have taken to Twitter with the hashtag 'ContraCR7,' which translates to AgainstCR7.
Ten Hag has recently been unable to reveal a timetable for Ronaldo's return to training, despite the striker displaying his preparations on social media. According to MEN Sport, the club will seek clarification of the situation as soon as possible.

Chelsea fans will undoubtedly be disappointed if Kante leaves after so many years of world-class service, but he has recently struggled with his fitness.
Rodriguez has impressed in La Liga and appears to be on the verge of joining one of the Premier League's biggest clubs.
