Arsenal have received bad news ahead of their first Premier League game of the season against Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace.

The new Premier League season will begin in about two weeks after a three-month wait, and all clubs, including Arsenal, will be looking forward to its return because they will have fully strengthened their teams thanks to the 2022 summer transfer window. Arsenal, on the other hand, has received some bad news ahead of their season opener against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal will be looking forward to the start of the new season after making a number of signings during the summer transfer window, but they may have received bad news ahead of their first Premier League game. According to Yahoo News, Arsenal's right back Tomiyasu will miss the start of the 2022/23 season due to a minor muscular problem that has kept him out of the North London club's pre-season games.

Arsenal will hope to begin their season with a win over Crystal Palace on the opening day, and the absence of Tomiyasu will obviously hurt the North Londoners, who struggled in games without him last season. Arsenal will now have to rely on Cedric Soares or Ben White in the right back position until the Japanese international returns.

One of Ronaldo's many records has been broken.

Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have lost his record for the most shirts sold in Italy in a single day to one of his former teammates.

Ronaldo set the record in 2018 when he moved from Real Madrid to Serie A giants Juventus for £100 million. But, unlike many of the other records set by the Portuguese superstar over the course of his career, he has now been surpassed.

According to Corriere dello Sport, that man is Dybala, who joined Roma on a free transfer on Wednesday. Dybala left Juventus, where he had spent three years playing alongside Ronaldo, at the end of last season and had been looking for a new challenge.

With moves to Inter Milan and AC Milan falling through, Roma provided him with the opportunity to fulfill his ambition. The Argentine has now signed a three-year contract to move to the Stadio Olimpico, putting Jose Mourinho's men in the running for the title.

Fans have flocked to buy Dybala's new shirt, recognizing the significance of his arrival. So many people bought Dybala jerseys that the 28-year-old broke Ronaldo's record for most shirts sold in a single day in Italy.

The report does not include any official figures for shirts sold, but the measurements are based on how many respective kits each club sold the day after either player's announcement.
