my cousin and aunt who lives in Dubai who have been planning to visit us in Nigeria for my birthday, their flight which left last week got plane c r a s h and no one s u r v i v e d.
THE CONTINUATION..
yesterday night, around 12pm, I woke up to have some water, I was on the balcony when someone touched my back.
to my surprise, I turned and it was my cousin Michael, I was shocked that I fell down.
“what is it, my beloved brother, makuochukwu”.. he said as he was smiling at me.
“i came to see you, Happy birthday to you”.. he said as he was approaching me with sadness on his face.
“bro Michael, you know I loved you a lot, had I know that this will happen, I wouldn't have let you come, please stop”.. I shivered as I crawled back silently while begging.
“why are you scared? it's me your cousin Michael, you know I can't h ā r m you, why you're scared?.. he said while coming more closer to me.
“you know you've already departed from the land of the living, please you don't have to do this”.. I begged!
“i won't do anything, just wanted to wish you well, after all, it's your birthday”.. he said while another woman appeared right in front of me, maybe it's was my aunt.
I fainted there immediately!
at morning, I was woke by my mom..
“makuo, what are you doing here? I thought I've warned you several times to stop sleeping on the floor to prevent coldness”.. my mother said to me.
“i didn't sleep here, I think I fainted”.. i said.
“what are you even saying”.. my mom asked.
“i know you won't believe me but I came here at night to drink water when Michael and aunt Jessica appeared saying they want to wish me birthday”.. I replied.
“you must be imagining things”... my mom said while laughing at me.
“mom I'm serious! infact whatever!”.. I shouted and left from there.
at night, I swore not to leave my room because I was still scared maybe what happened yesterday might as well happen today.
i was on my bed sleeping when I saw Michael in my dream telling me to wake up, immediately I woke up I saw Michael right behind me seating on my bed.
my heart skipped more fasted, I wanted to shout but couldn't.
“makuochukwu, don't be afraid, I know I'm dæd but I mean no h a r m to you”.. he said
“don't worry, after today, I won't appear to you again, I just wanted to say my last goodbye to you”.. he continued.
“indeed you've grown a lot, be a good boy, remember to study hard and graduate with flying colors from the University and most importantly, always respect your mom”.. he said and disappeared without a trace.
I almost cried my eyes out throughout that night.
ever since then, he haven't appeared to me again., but honestly I want to see him again even if it once.
