We have been justified - Kwame Agbodza on renewed introduction of street cost
The Ranking Member of Parliament's Roads and Transport Committee has said the Minority Group is glad that the Finance Minister has perceived the significance of street tolls.
Mr. Governs Kwame Agbodza expressed on JoyNews' Newsnite on Monday that Minority went against the scratch-off of street cost because of the significance of the duty.
His remark comes directly following Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta's disclosure that administration has tracked down an inventive system to raise assets to work with the recovery and expansion of the Tema Motorway.
Accra-Tema motorway under new concession; street to be rung after finish - Ofori-Atta
As per him, government in accordance with the Public Private Partnership Act, 2020 (Act 1039) will lay out a concession understanding between the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) and the Roads and Highways Ministry that will support the 27.7-kilometer project.
Introducing the Mid-Year Budget to Parliament for endorsement, Mr. Ofori-Atta said the task, upon culmination, will be rung.
Responding to this, Mr. Agbodza approached the Finance Minister to apologize to Ghanaians for this U-turn.
"Apologize to individuals of this nation first, apologize to the cost laborers he terminated, track down cash and pay them, apologize to the Speaker of Parliament," he said.
