The aggressor has been identified as Niyi and he’s presently in police custody for allegedly stabbing his bestie identified as Oyebanji Michael, to death over a misunderstanding.
The unfortunate event reported occurred on Saturday, July 23 at their residence in Akure, Ondo State.
“They argued over money and Niyi, clearly not in the right frame of mind, went to the kitchen to fetch a knife with which he used to stab Michael in the neck.
Eyewitnesses quickly rushed the victim to the hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival. Meanwhile, Niyi was whisked to Ala police station where he’s currently thinking about his life,” a source said.

A tragic incident occurred on Monday, July 25, at Jean Marie Secondary school in Nandi County, Kenya, as a 30-year-old man got buried alive while digging a pit latrine.
Josphat, who was reportedly among the three men contracted to dig the pit at the school, was trapped after the walls of the pit collapsed while inside at around 2:00 pm.
One of the diggers, Nicholas Odungo said the incident happened as they were finalizing their work. The pit was at the time 30 feet deep. Odungo and the other digger went for lunch when the tragedy struck.
He said;
"We had gone for lunch and we told him to continue digging. We returned shortly after to help him remove the soil and while tying the rope the walls cave in."
As of the time of filing this report, the father of three is still trapped in the rubble, and rescue efforts are ongoing.
Residents are now calling on the county government and the national government to join the rescue efforts.
One of the residents said;
"It is so sad that we were coming to the end of our work before we get paid but what has happened has affected us. We request the rescue team and disaster management to come and rescue Josphat who has been trapped since 2:00 pm."
