He is your brother Kamara from Laribanga. Greetings from the great mountains of Laribanga. I wish you success in your political endeavors.

Sir, I just read on your Facebook page where I saw a picture showing that you came specifically to the Savannah region, Debre to cut sod so that the Debre inland port project could start. If I were mischievous, I would ask you the question of how many inland ports we can compare to one card of Ghana, but because I am a pessimist and know the value of economic infrastructure, I would allow this question to slide.

Your Excellency, I know how difficult these times are for you. When you have ruined the economy with your unrealistic policies, recklessness and conspicuous incompetence, coupled with the fact that your constituents are using the NPP as a card to thwart your presidential ambitions, that much desperation should be expected. So it's understandable that you want to prove your point and be seen at work, even though it's really just business as usual; deception! deception! deception!

Mr. Vice President, I want to remind you and your boss of the outstanding arrears for promises and projects in the Savannah region that you either played dumb or strongly promised would be fulfilled within a certain time frame.

To begin with, in 2018, right on the example of Yagbonwura, you, Dr. Bawumia, promised that the Damongo water project would start the same year, but it was preceded by about 10 mechanized boreholes to mitigate the impact of acute water scarcity in Damongo municipality. This promise is more than 5 years old. If it were a child, it would be preparing for the 1st grade in the next academic year.

Following this, your boss himself, President Nana Addo, on July 29, 2020, came to cut sod for the so-called Damongo Water Project at Damongo City Park. He did so without any contractor on site and no specific deadlines were given. The current Member of Parliament for Damomgo Constituency, Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor, followed up with lots of promises with various citations to cover up the scam. It has been two years and the people of Damong are still fighting for water.

In the process, the president said, among other things, that his government had secured $49 million from British Export Finance and Deutsche Bank AG for the project. He said the project will serve all communities from Yapei Yipala to all other communities along the Fufulso-Damongo-Sawla road. He assured the people of Damong and other supposed recipient communities that the project will start in 2020. It has been two years now, no show and we are aware that your government will camouflage us again once the elections are around the corner.

As if that was not enough, exactly two months after cutting the sod for the Damongo Water project, exactly on the 24th of September 2020, Mr. Vice President, you came to inaugurate the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs and in the process you also cut the sod to start work on the so-called Savannah Regional House of Chiefs. Mr. Vice President, not a single block has been laid for the said project. While mowing the turf, you stated that your government has started 785 projects for the Savannah region alone in the three years since taking office and has completed 630 of them in that time. You people like playing with numbers too much.

Again, at the 45th Gonjaland Youth Congress in Bola, specifically on 6th April 2021, you, Mr. Vice President, looked into the faces of the chiefs and people of Gonjaland and promised that the Daboya Bridge project would commence that year. . In fact you said it would start around August 2021. Interestingly, the following year (2022) you avoided the annual Gonjaland Youth Congress in Daboya partly because you didn't know what to say to the people of Daboya again after a year passed without any demonstration of work on the bridge.

As part of the fraud contest between Vice President Dr. Bawumiou and his boss President Nana Addo, the latter on February 3, 2020, promised the good people of East Gonja and North East Gonja that the 138km Tamale-Salaga- Mankango road was to be completed in 18 months starting February 2020. If my math is correct, i think we are in month 30, the project still exists without any show. In fact, this road is still one of the worst roads during rainy days. At the same event in Kpalba, the President promised the people of North East Gonja the following:

District Hospital in Kpalba

Senior High School

Small town water project

All of the above haven't seen a show in 30 months.

In the midst of this fraud, most of the projects initiated by H. E. John Mahama have been abandoned or implemented at a slow pace. Salaga Hospital with 60 beds, Teachers College in Bole, Busunu-Daboya road project, Block E in KPalba, Mpaha-Debre road and many others.

So, Mr. Vice President, the people of Gonjaland are no longer excited about empty turf cutting when the likes of what you have done in the past have not seen the light of day. As said in the Gonja language, "if the cattle that grazed in the morning have not returned, there is no reason to send more to graze". We know this is one of your plans that has been seen to work, so your rating will drop a bit in your group, but we know you very well. We are tired of numerous sods, Mr. Vice President. Elections are approaching and once again they have brought well-packaged scams. It is enough.

Thank you.
