? CHAPTER TWENTY THREE?
AUTHOR'S POV
DIAMOND LOOKED up from her plate to stare at Dominic and caught him staring at her already, they smiled. After coming back from the repairman's office, they branched a close by restaurant to have dinner and since then they had been together, talking about random stuff.
"It's getting quite late right?" Dominic asked and Diamond nodded almost regretfully, they stood up and Dominic paid for the meal before they left the restaurant.
"I'd love to walk you home" Dominic said when they had moved a few meters from the restaurant, Diamond smiled in return, she had been doing a lot of smiling since they began to talk.
"You don't have to.." Diamond said secretly praying he disagrees with her
"I want to actually.. it would be my treat for ruining your day" he replied and Diamond shook her head, if only he knew how far her day was from being ruined.
"Alright fine, if you insist" Diamond replied and they began to walk to her house. The house wasn't far from her school neither was it far from the restaurant so it was convenient for the both of them. When they arrived at the front of Diamond's house they stopped, about to bade their final byes for the day.
"Soo... Is this rented or..." Diamond cut in
"It's mine" she said then paused and began to regret what she had just told him .
"Ooh wow.. I guess I should apologize for not bringing my car with me then"
"No it's fine.. why would you even say that?"
"You seem rich?" He stated rather than asked and they burst out into another round of laughter.
"No... It's fine, I love walks.." her voice trailed off and there was silence with the both of them staring at each other.
"Ahem.. so, I would like to see you again" Dominic said breaking the silence
"Sure,let me have your phone , I'd give you my number" she said
"I'd rather give mine to you" he countered stretching out his hand, she placed her phone on his palm and he typed something on it before handing over the phone back to her.
"My number is saved as Dominic, er... Call me so I can get your number" he said and turned about to leave then he turned back and pecked her " I'll see you tomorrow.. I guess"
"Okay" Diamond said with a smile and watched him walk away till his reflection faded then she went into her house Feeling excited.

Ha-eun opened the door of her hostel to see who had been knocking repeatedly and to her surprise she saw Storm dressed like she was about attending a party, Ha-eun's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Who are you?" Ha-eun asked rudely
"I'm Storm, your friend didn't tell you I was coming?"
"No Kathrine got it clear that I didn't want to see you so why are you here?"
"She invited me" Storm said and Ha-eun frowned , she was about sending her away when Storm spoke "can I come in?" She asked and Ha-eun eyed her from head to toe just as she sees Ariké do , she hissed aloud before banging the door at her harshly. She picked her phone and dialed Lorenzo's number.
"Hey where are you? I'm going to die if you don't show up any minute from now" Ha-eun said dramatically and Lorenzo laughed over the phone
"I'm parking outside right now"
"Great just stay where you are, I'll come meet you" Ha-eun said and took her bag before hurriedly leaving the hostel,when she opened the door she was surprised to still meet Storm there, she acted like she didn't see her and locked her hostel door before walking out of the hostel not caring if Storm was following her behind.
When Ha-eun got to the parking lot, she met Lorenzo there and ran to meet him , holding his hand tightly and pointing at Storm.
"Help, she's a stalker!" She said and Lorenzo couldn't help but close his eyes momentarily, he was obviously tired of Ha-eun's drama.
"Hi there, what do you want? " Lorenzo asked Storm who smiled.
"I'm a freshman and I just need new friends nothing more" Storm said innocently and Lorenzo turned to look at Ha-eun
"Come on, let's help her socialize, just for tonight" he said then turned back to Storm " just for tonight, you can come along with us" he said and Storm screamed excitedly but Ha-eun wasn't still okay with the idea. Nevertheless they all got into the car and Lorenzo drove off to the venue of the party...
When they arrived there they all alighted the car and went into the house, Ha-eun made sure she stayed some distance from Storm and stuck by the side of Lorenzo for most of the time at the party. As the party was going on, Ha-eun was having fun drinking and playing the variety of games available when someone held her hand tightly and began to drag her to an unknown place. Ha-eun couldn't see the face of the person but she could swear that it was Storm.
Soon the person dragging her stopped and faced her, alas it was Storm, she looked extremely serious this time.
"What.." Ha-eun was about to speak when Storm shushed her . Instantly Storm took off her wig which Ha-eun had thought to be her real hair, and she took off the light skin-mask she was wearing to reveal her real face, Ha-eun was out of breath as a result of the wave of surprise.
"Who are you?" She managed to ask and watched Storm's once serious face turn into a smirk.
*THE NEXT DAY
IN THE AFTERNOON
PEACHES WAS seated in her room going through her phone and reading boring articles, she had slept overnight with one eye open as a result of her not being able to trust her mother anymore. Today she had refused to come out of her room, she stayed right from the time she woke up till the current moment.
Suddenly she heard the sound of her door knob and flinched seating down properly on her bed anticipating the worst. She looked intently at the door and watched it opened but no one was there, her heart began to beat seriously fast, was she in a horror movie of some sort? She kept on looking till she saw her mother poke her head into the room.
"What's wrong darling it's like I haven't seen you for the whole of the day" her mother said walking fully into the room
"Come on Mum, it's just 2pm"
"But still" her mother paused and sighed " I'll be back soon alright, I need to get something" her mother said and Peaches nodded
"Bye Mum" she replied and waited for her mother to leave her room before springing up to her feet, she trailed her mother from afar till she saw her get into her car and drive away. She smiled happily and ran back into the house with her phone, if there was a best time for her to check her mother's secret study, it was now.
Peaches tiptoed into the dim path that led to the study, she couldn't tell why she was tiptoeing but she did it anyways, she went to the door and tried numerous passwords before it finally opened, she entered into the dark room.
She lit up her phone and used the light from the screen to locate the switch, once she found it she pushed the button and the light in the study came on, she gasped with fear as the view became visible to her, she couldn't believe her eyes, who had she been living with these past years?
