West Ham could complete 'bargain' Filip Kostic deal after source's update - Robinson
Paul Robinson has claimed Eintracht Frankfurt wide man Filip Kostic would be a welcome addition at West Ham this summer. Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said the 29-year-old “would be a bargain” for anything less than £15million. Kostic has entered the final 12 months of his contract in Frankfurt and the German club could cash in now rather than risk losing him on a free next summer. The Hammers are widely reported to have tabled a £13million bid for the Serbia international. Sources have told Football Insider (26 July) that David Moyes is pushing hard to seal a deal. As per WhoScored (22 July), only Thomas Muller and Lionel Messi have registered more assists than Kostic in Europe’s top five league since August 2018. When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Robinson said: “It would be a low-risk signing. “When you look at his stats and the price West Ham would have to pay, it really would be a bargain. There is teams that are paying more than that to take a player on loan. See more ? They could get five good years out of him. Get him on a three-year deal and see how it goes from there. “For less than £15million it could be a very shrewd piece of business.” In other news, a pundit has suggested the real reason for West Ham blocking Issa Diop transfer as big-money bid rejected. {{#primary_category}} {{primary_category}} {{/primary_category}}
West Ham: Fabrizio Romano drops Filip Kostic update
3 minute read 26/7/2022 | 12:36pm Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on the future of reported West Ham United transfer target Filip Kostic. What’s the latest? In a recent post on Twitter, the Italian journalist revealed that Rob Newman has now scheduled a new round of talks with the Eintracht Frankfurt wing-back and his representatives in order to discuss personal terms ahead of a potential €15m (£13m) move to the London Stadium this summer. The transfer insider went on to state that Eintracht have received the Premier League club’s bid for the defender, and the decision as to whether the 29-year-old does indeed join West Ham ahead of the 2022/23 campaign is now solely down to the Serbia international himself. In his tweet, Romano said: “West Ham have already scheduled a new round of talks with Filip Kostic in order to discuss personal terms, after an official bid. His agent, now busy with the Scamacca deal, will be in London very soon.
