MOST GHANAIAN DANCEHALL ARTISTS ARE NOISE MAKERS- JAH LIGHTENING.

Budding Dancehall artiste, Jah Lightning has described most reggae dancehall musicians in Ghana like Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy as noise makers.

 

Speaking in an interview with Modern Africa Online, Jah Lightning disclosed that Reggae/dancehall musicians in Ghana must sit up and make music devoid of noise:

 

“It’s sad the kind of songs most of these dancehall artists produce… Most of their songs are very noisy …they lack authenticity …the songs are raw”.

 

Without mincing words, the outspoken budding reggae-dancehall act emphasized that “but I am here to produce songs that should change the face of Ghanaian dancehall scene”.

 

The renowned composer and performer blabbed,” Most of them mime instead of playing live during their performances which is very unprofessional…they lack creativity”

Solomon Derick Otoo-Dadzie, better known as Jah Lightning is a Reggae artist, songwriter, composer, performer, and recording artist.

 

He is based on Cape Coast and has performed across west Africa especially the Gambia in 2012 and 2014 and also in Togo in 2016.

 

He originally hails from the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Jah Lightning is the CEO of HottaDanfyah Muzik and is involved in several music programs in Cape Coast and Ghana as a whole.

For stealing the sum of N11.2 million from Fidelity Bank Plc, a Lagos Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, yesterday, remanded a 32-year-old man, Sedeliu Lucky Izomo in the Ikoyi Correctional facility.

 

 

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo ordered his remand following his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing.

 

 

The EFCC prosecution counsel, Mr. Nnemeka Omewa told the court that the defendant conspired with one Jude Aloheaus who had already been charged.

 

He said that the defendant committed the offenses on or about July 12, 2019, in Lagos, and stole the sum of N11.265,000, property of Fidelity Bank Plc.

 

 

The prosecutor also said that the defendant converted the said money to his use between July 12 to 15, 2019.
