The transfer of Fenerbahce's South Korean center-back Kim Min-Jae to Napoli is about to be announced. Koulibaly will be replaced by the Asian defender because he is headed to Chelsea.

Kalidou Koulibaly, a defender from Senegal, has been legally transferred from Napoli to Chelsea for more than a week. The Italian team is therefore making every effort to make up for this crucial loss in Luciano Spalletti's roster.

The sought-after defender will soon join the Neapolitan club, according to Aurelio de Laurentiis, president of the organization, who stated on "Radio Kiss Kiss": "I would love to recruit a player from South Korea." Fenerbahce's 25-year-old South Korean center back Kim Min-Jae has been linked to a transfer to the team.

The Italian club wants to "finish the deal soon" despite the fact that the transaction has not yet been entirely completed since "certain things are still missing" before an official agreement is reached.

Kim Min-Jae, a center back for Fenerbahçe, is expected to undergo his medical in Italy today. According to Sky Sports, Napoli will activate the South Korean's €19.5 million release clause in order to sign him. The defender was on the verge of signing with Rennes until Napoli swooped in for a deal.

Gianluca Di Marzio stated earlier this month that despite a verbal agreement having previously been reached with Ligue 1 team Rennes, Napoli were still holding out for a contract with Kim Min-Jae. However, negotiations between Napoli and Fenerbahçe continued in Istanbul while the player was about to board a flight to France to finalize the agreement. This appeared to have persuaded the player, as he is now expected to sign with the Serie A team.

Rennes backed out of the agreement following

Kim Min-jae, a center back for Fenerbahce, arrived in Italy on Tuesday for a medical with Serie A club Napoli. A contract is anticipated later on Wednesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, Kim was seen arriving to a medical facility in Rome, where he is anticipated to go through the customary medical examinations as a formality before signing with the club. According to Italian media, the new agreement will probably be inked at some time on Wednesday, and Napoli will likely pay Turkish club Fenerbahce 20 million euros ($20 million) in two installments this year.

Kim's signing to Napoli seems to put an end to a protracted transfer drama that saw the powerful defender linked with Napoli, French club Rennes, and at least one Premier League club.
