La Liga president: Barcelona are on the right path to registering their signings
Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, has spoken out once more over FC Barcelona's registration predicament.
Tebas was questioned whether the club's new additions, such as Raphina and Robert Lewandowski, will be able to play in the upcoming season at La Liga's "Kick Off" gala.
"Ask FC Barcelona," he responded."I can claim that they understand the regulations and what they need to do." There is still work to be done, but there is yet time."
Barcelona has been attempting to recover from the financial problems brought about by the epidemic, as well as years of mismanagement under former club president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
The club raised funds by selling assets via so-called "financial levers." This is to ensure compliance with the league's stringent pay cap and Financial Fair Play standards."We'll see if they can sign everyone up once they provide us the documentation for the levers and players they have for sale." They understand what they must do. "I believe they still have some work to do in terms of all they have to do, but I believe they are on the right route," he said.
