Manchester United have finished the marking of Argentina protector Lisandro Martinez from Ajax in an arrangement worth up to 67m euros (£57m).
Joined chief Erik ten Hag was quick to be brought together with the 24-year-old, who he finished paperwork for Ajax in 2019.
He joins the club on a five-year contract which keeps him at Old Trafford until 2027, with the choice of a further year.
"It's a distinction to join this extraordinary football club," Martinez said.
"I've endeavored to get to this second and, now that I'm here, I will propel myself significantly further."

Martinez showed up for Ajax in the wake of moving from Argentinian side Defensa y Justicia for £6.3m in 2019, and furthermore played for Newell's Old Boys.
He has won seven covers for Argentina since making his senior presentation in March 2019, and played once in the country's fruitful Copa America crusade in 2021.
"I've been adequately fortunate to be essential for fruitful groups in my vocation and that is the very thing I need to go on at Manchester United," he said.
"There will be a great deal of work to get to that second, however I solidly trust that, under this supervisor and mentors, and along with my new colleagues, we can make it happen."
Martinez played under Ten Hag at Ajax and brought home the Eredivisie championship with the club in 2021 and 2022, as well as the Dutch Cup in 2021.
He was additionally Ajax's player of the year for the 2021-22 season.
"He's a fighter and I figure the fans will respect him. He has a demeanor, battling soul," Ten Hag said.

The middle back is United's third marking of the mid year following the appearances of Christian Eriksen on a free exchange and Dutch full-back Tyrell Malacia.
