Martinez finishes move to Man Utd
Manchester United on Wednesday finished the marking of Argentina protector Lisandro Martinez from Ajax for an expense that could reach almost £57 million.
The 24-year-old, who brought home two Eredivisie championships under new United supervisor Erik ten Hag in Amsterdam, has marked an agreement until 2027 at Old Trafford, with the choice of a further a year.
Ajax said they had concurred an exchange expense of 57.37 million euros with United.
Counting factors, that sum could increment to 67.37 million euros.
"It's a distinction to join this incredible football club," the middle back told United's site.
"I've endeavored to get to this second and, now that I'm here, I will propel myself significantly further.
"I've been adequately fortunate to be essential for fruitful groups in my profession and that is the very thing that I need to go on at Manchester United.
"There will be a great deal of work to get to that second, yet I solidly trust that, under this chief and mentors, and along with my new colleagues, we can make it happen."
Martinez, who started his profession at Newell's Old Boys and furthermore played for Argentine side Defensa y Justicia, won the 2021 Copa America with his nation and has been covered multiple times at global level.
He is the third marking of the Ten Hag time following the catch of left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord and the free exchange of previous Brentford and Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Manchester United football chief John Murtough said: "Lisandro is an extraordinary player who will carry further quality and experience to Erik's crew.
"We are happy that he has decided to join Manchester United and we are anticipating seeing him grow further and assist the group with making the progress we are holding back nothing."
Joined together, who completed a disheartening 6th in the Premier League keep going season, have Brighton on 7 August in their most memorable match of the new mission.
