The government has released GHC57.4 million to pay teacher trainee allowances and feeding grants.

The Ghanaian government has set aside GHC57,460.00 for the payment of student allowances and feeding for students in the country's 46 educational institutions.

According to a brief statement signed by the Ministry of Education's Public Relations Officer, Kwasi Kwarteng, the government and the ministry remain committed to improving education in Ghana.

"Through the Ministry of Education, the Government of Ghana has released an amount of GHC57,460,000.00 to cover feeding grant and student allowance in Ghana's 46 colleges of education."

"The Ministry is hereby reiterating its commitment to adequately resource and collaborate with all institutions under its ambit in order to improve and sustain the quality of education in Ghana," said the July 24, 2022 statement.

The funds have been released at a time when there have been reports of looming food shortages in various educational institutions.

While a few individuals from the Ghanaian public stay restless over the continuous SIM card re-enrollment work out, the National Communication Authority has certified that there will be no expansion of its specified cutoff time.

Subsequent to fixing a cutoff time for March 31 this year, the NCA reported an expansion of its cutoff time to July 31, 2022.

With a couple of days staying to the cutoff time, a few worries have been raised about the imperatives looked by a great many Ghanaians concerning access of the Ghana Card which is the compulsory report expected for the enrollment.

Yet, in a new update on its Facebook page, the NCA has certified that people who neglect to enroll their SIM cards after July 31 will have their telephone numbers deactivated.

"No enrollment, no help. Register your SIM Card before 31st July, 2022," the NCA shared the notification on its Facebook page.

This is in opposition to assumptions that the service of correspondences through the NCA will declare an augmentation to the cutoff time in light of the difficulties looked by residents to get their Ghana Cards.
