Afia Pokuaa aka Vim Lady has been on fire despite the Media journalist after she released a statement on the dismissal of Gender Affairs Minister Adwoa Safo issued by the Presidency captioned “Finally, Finally”.
A Facebook account with the name Osagyefo Kwadwo Ansong reached out to her and said she also deserves to be fired for abandoning her duties and hosting a virtual show abroad.
In the comment section of Vim Lady seen by Modernghana News, a netizen wrote: “I am glad the president did this and I wish Kwame Despite will also learn from this. Because you're finally doing the same thing."
As readers may recall, there was a verbal altercation between Afia Pokuaa and one of Through Media's seasoned staff, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese.
Speaking on his Ade Akye Abia show on Accra-based Okay FM, Tikese said that Vim Lady was being paid big but she chose to host virtual shows that are outside her mandate.
"I found out he gets huge sums of money at the end of the month. We don't say it in secret, we do it live on-air, so if someone is going to record, let a person do it... because, in multimedia, you wouldn't be allowed to do that, so why this is what you are doing to us? You are using the kindness of Osei Kwame Through and Faddy Dickson as their weakness..,” Kwame Nkrumah Tikese pointed out.
He adds, “The program has expanded with people in this country, but the people you host from abroad are not in touch with the current situation in the country. Some stayed out for more than 30 years; even the sound quality is poor."
Kwame Nkrumah Tikese also dared Vim Lady to leave the station after two weeks if she refused to resume her full duties at the station.
