Juneweather Wan wrote: "The damage has already been done!"
Zigga Addo wrote: “Maa Afia, if the bank manager can't settle the bills, what about looking after the wife? We want the dollar to be stable and to limit the size of government."
Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament (MP) who doubles as Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Sarah Adwoa Safo is out of the country since December 2021.
After many attempts to bring her back failed, the president revoked her appointment as Minister for Gender Equality.
In a statement issued and signed by Mr. Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications of the Bureau, she said that "In accordance with Article 81 letter a) Constitution The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, revoked the appointment of Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, with immediate effect.”
He continues: “The Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah, will continue to serve as the Caretaker Minister in the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection until President Akufo-Addo appoints a caretaker minister.
Meanwhile, her position as an MP is yet to be decided after parliament resumes from recess in October this year, 2022.
Her fellow NPP MPs are pushing for parliament to declare her seat vacant for replacement.
