France condemns execution of four political prisoners in Myanmar;

 

France on Monday "firmly censured" the execution of four political detainees in Myanmar, referring to the killings as "a significant relapse" for the country's tactical system. It is the Asian nation's first utilization of the death penalty in quite a while.

 

Myanmar's tactical rulers have executed four detainees, including a previous individual from parliament from removed pioneer Aung San Suu Kyi's party, and an unmistakable common liberties dissident, state media said Monday.

Phyo Zeya Thaw is a previous official from Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy (NLD) who was captured in November. He was condemned to death in January, blamed for organizing a few assaults on system powers, including a firearm assault on a passenger train in Yangon in August that killed five police officers.
