Russophobia won't go on without serious consequences, provincial head expressed, remarking on a Norwegian diplomat's xenophobic comments
Russophobia won't endured, Murmansk Region Governor Andrey Chibis has cautioned in a scorching Telegram post about an occurrence including a Norwegian delegate that occurred in his district.
A video posted on Saturday by media source Mash showed Elisabeth Ellingsen, a diplomat positioned in the northern Russian city of Murmansk, swearing at the staff at a lodging. "I disdain Russians," Ellingsen says in English. "You know, I'm accustomed to [staying in] clean rooms. I'm from Scandinavia, not some Russian lady."
"We won't endure Russophobia in our country. Each and every individual who detests Russians ought to get the damnation out of Russia," Chibis composed.
He repeated the comments of Andrey Klishas, who chairs the advisory group on protected regulation and state working of the upper office of Russia's parliament.
Likewise taking to Telegram, the representative encouraged the Foreign Ministry to remove Ellingsen, whom he depicted as "rubbish."
The service's representative Maria Zakharova denounced the Norwegian diplomat for her "contemptuous" discourse, saying that Moscow is presently "taking into account choices on the most proficient method to answer this incredible demonstration of scorn, patriotism and xenophobia."
Norway's Foreign Ministry in a proclamation shipped off RT on Saturday said that it "profoundly laments" the occurrence and that Ellingsen's "opinions" don't reflect "Norwegian strategy or Norwegian mentalities towards Russia and Russian individuals." That's what it added "the episode is being taken care of by the Ministry through the fitting channels."
