Two road contenders who supposedly killed trotro driver charged

The Police in Ashanti have begun indictment of two suspects who supposedly killed a trotro driver in the Asokore Mampong Municipality.

During a road battle in Asokore Mampong last month, the two cut to death Dennis Owusu, a trotro driver, for forestalling an assault on a young fellow.

The suspects were captured in their safe-house and summoned under the watchful eye of court.

22 year-old Dennis Owusu was cut a few times at the back and rear end, and had his head hit with a block by a gathering of young fellows who were battling a partner nearby.

Dennis, broadly known as Alonso, kicked the bucket, attempting to forestall the young men from going after the young fellow.

The road contenders fled after the occurrence.

Police later captured the two suspects and put them before the Asokore Mampong District court.

They have been remanded in Police care to return under the watchful eye of court on August 2 this year.
