THIS is the second time this season that Chelsea legend John Terry has suggested Kalidou Koulibaly wear his illustrious No. 26 jersey.

Koulibaly, a new Blues defender, has made an excellent impact at Stamford Bridge and played a part in last week's 3-1 victory over Udinese.
Calling John Terry, Kalidou Koulibaly inquired about inheriting the renowned No. 26 shirt.

Terry wore the jersey while becoming a Chelsea star, but he gladly gave it to Koulibaly.

Before his £33 million transfer from Napoli last month, he was thought to be one of the top defenders in the world of football at that time.

However, Koulibaly made a stunning decision when he wore the No. 26 shirt when he arrived in London.

The number is inextricably linked to former Chelsea captain Terry, who is arguably the team's most notable player.

Since the middle back left for Aston Villa in 2017, no player has worn it.

Koulibaly wore the same number during his eight years at Napoli, however, and was quick to continue the trend at his new club.

Koulibaly believed it was appropriate to ask the extraordinary man for his permission directly because of this.

Koulibaly sent a video to Twitter with the caption: "Call John Terry immediately. admired and joyful."

The video then showed the Senegal player calling JT and asking for permission to wear the No. 26 shirt.

"The 26 was incredibly exceptional to me, I sincerely value your calling," Terry was then heard stating.

For me, it's a piece of cake for you to accept; it's pure joy.

I wish you luck since I am aware of the significance of 26 for me and because I have seen you wear it as well. I'm happy to provide you the 26.

"No effort. You keep going and winning things for us."

Terry displayed a similar level of effort on July 17 as Chelsea marked Koulibaly.

As he tweeted: "Another fantastic marking. Wishing you luck and a warm welcome to Chelsea."
