According to rumours, JUVENTUS has joined Tottenham in the race to recruit Memphis Depay.
Barcelona is scrambling to offload the Dutch striker in the late spring after robbing him of his No. 9 jersey so they could give it to newly signed Robert Lewandowski.
Additionally, columnist Fabrizio Romano claims that Juventus, an Italian powerhouse, is currently considering Depay as a potential new forward.
The 28-year-old, who endured a trying period at Manchester United between 2015 and 2017, may return to the Premier League if Spurs continue to show interest in him.
Romano advises that no authority negotiations have taken place between the player and the North London club.
Juve is now free to decline, although they are also considering offers for Timo Werner of Chelsea and Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid.
Werner is being sought after by the Blues, who believe Newcastle to be aggressive. In the meanwhile, Morata has spent the last two seasons on loan in Turin, where he has amassed 32 goals in 92 games.
Depay has only played for Barcelona for one season, scoring 13 goals while playing frequently.
However, when he arrived from Lyon at the Nou Camp the previous summer, he only signed a two-year contract that will expire at the end of the upcoming season.
Barcelona hopes to trade him away while they still have the chance because they are having some financial difficulties.
Administrator Xavi still has the ability to rebuild the team, and he views Depay as unnecessary.
