Gini Wijnaldum bids his PSG colleagues farewell and gets ready to join Roma.
Gini Wijnaldum is on his way to becoming a new Roma player in the next few days as Roma and PSG finalise his transfer.
According to Il Tempo, the Dutchman has already bid farewell to his Paris Saint-Germain teammates and is hoping to move to the Italian capital as soon as possible.
General Manager Tiago Pinto reportedly worked on this deal all of Monday in order to reach a total agreement with PSG.
The French giants do not want to contribute to the player’s salary and this has been the major obstacle in the negotiations.
Ultimately, the deal is expected to be completed on the basis of a loan with option to buy. There is not going to be an obligation inserted in the deal.
According to reports, midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum of Paris Saint-Germain is about to leave the club. The 31-year-old seems to be finished after one season and is leaving the French city.
a Gazzetta dello Sport (via Canal Supporters) reports an agreement between the French giants and AS Roma that would see Wijnaldum go on a loan deal to the Italian capital this season.
According to the report, despite being a loan arrangement with an option to buy, it can become mandatory under certain conditions that the veteran midfielder hits during his stint with José Mourinho’s squad.
When it comes to the finances, PSG will pay part of the salary, but the Italian media outlet doesn’t give an exact percentage or amount that the current Ligue 1 champions will cover.
