The closest rivalry in sports has the old pals on opposing sides now.
When Bordeaux won the French Under-17 championship in 2017 with Aurelien Tchouameni and Jules Kounde, they never dreamed that their professional paths would eventually cross in Spain, with one player winding up at Real Madrid and the other at Barcelona.
They became inseparable because of their relationship, which they developed in the French team's youth system, even if their exceptional potential led to one of them being transferred to Monaco and the other to Sevilla.
