Police have begun an investigation into the alleged attack on Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii.
The Ghana Police Service has stated that investigations into the alleged assassination of Angel FM Morning Show host Kofi Adoma Nwanwanii have begun.
According to a statement issued by the law enforcement agency, investigations began immediately after the attack was reported to them.
"On August 6, 2022, at Old Ashongman Village in Accra, some unknown persons allegedly attacked Stephen Kofi Adomah, a staff member of Angel Broadcasting Network."
"Investigation into the alleged incident commenced as soon as the matter came to the attention of the Police," according to the statement.

Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii, the host of Angel FM's morning show, was allegedly attacked by unknown men on Saturday, August 6, 2022, according to GhanaWeb.
According to sources, the broadcaster was returning from DAMAX Estate in Kuntunse, an Accra suburb, when he was approached by these alleged assassins on a motorbike and attacked him near Old Ashongman.
The unknown men injured the journalist with a sharp object and then attempted to set him on fire.
"Kofi Adomah went to his house in Kuntunse's DAMAX estate and was attacked on his way back around old Ashongman." He was run over by motorcycle riders.
"They aimed sharp objects at his face, but he used his hands and shoulders to avoid many wounds on his face."
"They poured inflammable substance believed to be petrol and attempted to set him on fire," a source told GhanaWeb.
Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii has been admitted to the Legon Hospital since then.
